3 years!!!

Hiya sis! I met you almost exactly three years ago! We just recently took a road trip to St.George. In fact, right now I am about to take a wee nap at the church building next to your home. It has been a FUN weekend. I'm grateful for how we met and the unique experiences that have made us best of buddies. I appreciate so many things about our friendship-

I'm grateful we can laugh through just about any situation... Wether it's funny or not, hard or easy, or just plum awkward.
I'm grateful we can talk about things that are important in our lives as well as talk about worries fears, and hopes!
I'm grateful I can trust you and that I feel trusted by you.
I'm grateful for the comfort I feel when you are around- never having to wonder if what we are doing is right or borderline.
I'm grateful you never put me down... I always feel a little bit higher quality of Kelli after spending time with you.

These are just a few reasons why I'm grateful. There are many more. Thanks for being you!

Today I'm really grateful for fun memories. We recently went to Boston and had so much fun there. I'm grateful for your friendship and all the memories

Days like today :)

It's 3:17pm and I'm chilling on the sofa while you are working at the office. Im grateful for days like this.  Laughing, telling jokes, listening to random music, and just talking... I love it! I'm grateful for you letting me talk your ear off! :) days like this are great!!

I'm grateful for RainingFirelightBlanket- Your constant friendship. I feel like I can be my true self around you. I'm truly grateful for all the times you have helped me when I have felt broken. For being a constant shoulder I can lean on and cry on. Grateful we can laugh and sing and joke!

Thanks Aly- just now you are studying your scriptures, reminding me that I should do the same. I'm grateful for you.

Mesa

I'm grateful for Mesa. Sure, it can be dodgey... But I'm grateful to live in Mesa and all the great friends and memories made here. Im grateful for the brown house and the 2nd avenue hoose!!! Grateful to be neighbors with the Lords Mesa Temple-

Grateful for An awesome roomie and other roomates that don't shoot me.

I'm grateful for the land of the sun. Some may call it a forsaken land... But it's been full of blessings to me. Grateful for you Aly. Many of my memories here are with you.

Flashbacks

Sometimes my mind flashes back to the trail and brings with it different emotions. I remember some details so well and others are foggy. I am afraid of some aspects of the trail and when I think of even getting close to an edge I cringe. I'm grateful we were together on very challenging weeks. Some flashbacks are scary and others are sacred. I'm certain you can relate. Today I'm grateful for when you took my hand because I kept looking back so I could see you. You walked up, took my hand and led me the rest of the way to Adam and the fire. Another sacred flashback for me was when we were the only ones awake and by the fire. We didn't say much at all. You warmed hot rocks and cooked me mac daddy. I haven't tasted anything so good. We just sat by each other. Didn't say a word. These flashbacks hold a lot of meaning to me. They make the other flashbacks not as scary. I'm grateful Aly,  for the peace you gave me even when you were having a battle of your own. A battle that was difficult that was hard for others to see but so real and so scary. Like the name I gifted you, you bring warmth and comfort just like firelight when all around you is dark. 

I'll never forget When Seth gave me a blessing telling me that Angels were there. I have no doubt that you were one of them. I never would have left that creek if you wouldn't have been there. Not willingly anyway. So today I'm grateful for those flashbacks that are sacred. Grateful those memories are with you. You will always be the trailwalker I admire and trust. I'm grateful for those sacred times that weren't easy.... That only you, me, and God understands. 

Health / party animals

Today I'm grateful for my health. I'm also grateful for last night when we had a party here at the apt. It felt good to be surrounded by people. Some we knew well and others not so well. I'm grateful that life allows us to be with others and to learn from them. I am grateful that when I am feeling down or low there can be someone who lifts me up just because of who they are and because they chose to be there.
